Conclusions and Verdict

All ranges of the audio spectrum are important but many will argue that bass is one of the most important as that is the driving force behind your music; the bass is your base, so to speak.

I have tested many subs over the years from every type of speaker system from PC to high end home theater systems and the main characteristic noticeable with this product is how clean and articulate the bass reproduction is for an entry level subwoofer.

The bass lines produced were tight and right on key without washing out the rest of the spectrum.  A common issue with some lower end units is a washed out one note bass production.  That is not the case with the EP125 sub which offers bass that punches and kicks with tight details and zero boominess.

The EP125's small size, great sound and connection options make it an excellent sub for PC and home theater enthusiasts with smaller rooms.

The only real negative found with this sub is the unit doesnt have auto power, so if you put the unit under your desk then you have to reach under and power it on or off when required.  Aside from this, we didnt really find any issues with the Epicenter 125 sub; it is really a high quality unit for the price based on our testing.  You can find subs for less money but for nice clean, articulate bass, the demands on your wallet get a bit heavier.  Pricing, in Canada 397 CDN and in USD and EUR roughly 299,- a lot of money alright.

The EP125 sub impressed us with seemingly effortless ability to produce clean, clear, accurate bass that doesnt muddy or blanket the rest of the spectrum while performing at relatively high volumes.

If you are looking for a high quality entry level product for your bedroom or smaller rooms, we suggest having a listen to this sub and decide for yourself after hearing this unassuming unit muscles up some great bass!

Given the build quality we saw and the bass quality heard during testing, we easily give this product our recommended award.  guru3d-recommended_150px.jpg
